Voice Recognition Software Tutorial
Welcome to my video tutorial on Using Voice Recognition Software.
Voice Recognition Software is a great way to use your computer entirely with your voice.
This allows for hands free typing and is great for those who would rather speak to the computer than have to type and use the mouse, also a great idea for slower typists as well.
So with this program that is usually already installed on most machines, you can simply speak to your computer, not only to dictate letters and emails, but to open programs, files and folders on your desktop and so much more, so let’s get started.
To find your voice recognition software, first you’ll want to go to your start button at the bottom left.
From there, you want to enter your control panel.
Most pc’s have a great variety of tools and to see them on the system I’m currently using, windows vista, I need to use what’s known as the classic view, seen here.
So now at this point you’d want to locate the speech recognition program, and the icon actually says “speech recogniton options”.
I circled it so you can pick it out easily.
Here is a blown up shot of what the icon should look like.
At this first screen you can go through a variety of options including:
Starting speech recognition, this allows you to start using your voice to control your computer.
when we click “start speech recognition” and say “start listening” the program opens up and we can get started.
Set up the microphone to work with your speech recognition where you can set it for a headset microphone, a desktop microphone, or another type such as built in.
I highly recommend taking the speech tutorial
This allows you to learn the basic commands and dictation for the voice recognition software.
There’s also an exercise to help your computer learn your voice. This option isn’t necessary, but will really help improve your dictation accuracy.
The final option is to open the speech reference card option, this allows you to view and print a list of the common commands for dictation and editing, so you always know what to say while using the software.
So lets have a look at this software in action.
Some of the voice commands include open, close, click, switch to, new paragraph, new line, scroll up, scroll down, minimize window, select and delete word so on. To activate the voice recognition software we say “start listening”.
You see it has switched from sleeping to listening,
notice the sound bar fluctuation showing sound levels from my voice.
Now lets try to open notepad to do some dictation
Open notepad…now it gives me two choices, I don’t want notepad plus plus, so I will say TWO…OKAY.
Notepad opens and we can start dictating.
okay, enter
So let’s do a test and practice with this voice recognition software.
You can say UNDO to delete the last word typed.
UNDO…program
and it edited
just say CLOSE WINDOW to close the window you’re currently working on.
Go through the speech recognition tutorials and get started using this software today!

Computer Shortcut Tips
Consider these computer shortcut tips when working with documents, photos or videos. Shortcuts are very helpful and save time when you’re working on a project. With quick ways of accomplishing complicated tasks, your projects will tend to run smoothly.
Today’s tutorial is a series of computer shortcut tips which could prove helpful to those who are, and for those who are not so computer savvy.
Okay lets start with some shortcut keys such as ctrl A, ctrl C, ctrl v and ctrl z.
Ctrl A allows you to “select all” in a document or photo, meaning this function highlights all the text or image in a given field.
Ctrl C is used to copy. This replicates whatever text or image you have highlighted to what’s known as your “clipboard” and allows you to bring it somewhere else and “paste” it in.
Ctrl V is used to paste whatever you have copied to your clipboard.
Ctrl Z, is used to undo the last function performed on a text document or a graphic, so this command is really useful if you should make a mistake.
These 4 shortcuts are helpful, but you can also explore your menu options and see what other shortcuts are available for the current window you are working with.
If you want to refresh your current window use F5, but if you want to reload the page by resending the information, you’d want to do a “hard refresh”, or ctrl and F5.
Using ctrl with the plus or minus can zoom in and out of your browser windows. The plus zooms in and the subtraction sign zooms out.
You can copy your screen just by clicking Ctrl and prt scr. This saves your screen to your clipboard, so now open up paint in your accessories and click ctrl V to paste it in. As you can see it pasted what my screen looked like at the time.
Sometimes I find the need to move or upload multiple files or folders at once.
You can either box them and drag them like that, or highlight the first file to be moved, then hold Shift and click the last file to be moved. Everything in between will be included allowing you to move, copy or upload the group in a single move.
If you want to copy a file instead of moving it to another folder, drag it with the right click of your mouse.
Alt F4 closes your current window, and ctrl, alternate, delete allows you to run your task manager if your computer should get frozen or locked up.
Well that’s enough for now. Keep posted on my channel for more videos and tutorials and thanks for watching!
Windows Movie Maker Tutorial
Welcome to my quick tutorial video to create your own video tutorials and slideshows with the Windows Movie Maker or similar programs.
First, do a quick search from your start button to locate and open the Windows Movie Maker, or a similar program on your computer. You could even just type “Windows” in the searchbox to find it as well.
Next, you can import from a camera, your pictures folder, audio, video and music to your project.
Simply choose the media you want to import and navigate to the desired files. Music to the background of a voiceover is a good method to use.
Next browse the effects available and transition options you have to choose from. You can even choose a different transition between specified photos. Use the scroll bar to explore what options you have for your video.
To the right you’ll see a video play button and window where you can sample what each transition looks like. Use that to decide which transitions to use and where you want them.
Once you have your pictures and video assigned and the audio track aligned with your project, you may want to consider adding titles and credits for the opening and closing of your video. This is completely optional though.
And here we can see the finished product, opening with the title, see the first photo, going into a dissolve transition, now into a pixelated transition, that’s called a shatter right transition, this next one is known as a whirlwind transition, and this is the shatter, up left transition, and ending with a rough dissolve.
Finally the Sample video credits and the video is complete. Make your own slideshow today, perhaps with royalty-free music with a voiceover on a microphone, and remember the best projects happen when all your elements come together as one! Thanks for watching!
Tutorial on Making a GIF File
Welcome to my video tutorial on How to Create A Moving GIF File.
GIF or Graphics Interchange Format, pronounced “JIF”, was designed by CompuServe and released in June of 1987.
A GIF file is a moving photo made up of several still photos that when put together look a lot like a video.
You can make your own GIF file out of still photos rather easily and I’ll show you how.
First decide if you want to make a single photo move, or use a series of photos to make a moving GIF image.
One of the websites I know of is called loogix.com and offers varieties of GIF types from either multiple photos or just a single photo.
You have the option of uploading up to 10 photos for making your own GIF. Simply navigate to the photos you want to use with the “browse” button.
Or just use a single photo and apply one of the website’s effects to make your photo move.
Some of the free effects you can use include blur, swirl, motley, movie, zoom, rotation, recursion, explosion, appearance, painting, negative and many more.
Today what I’m going to do, is use these eight photos to make a GIF file. As you can see the photos are a series of a house collapsing.
So the first thing I would do is “Add one more picture” until I have 8 available fields.
Next, browse on each field and upload the photos you want to, in the order you would like them.
Then you should decide on the size and the speed you want to make your GIF file, but don’t worry, if you want to change the size or speed, you can rather easily.
Here we have the finished product, just right click on it and save. There you go, hope you enjoyed my tutorial on an easy way to make GIF files, stay tuned for more to come!

Clean Your PC With a Registry Cleaner
Welcome to my tutorial on how to clean your PC with a registry cleaner.
Most people don’t realize that everytime you land on a website, your computer stores temporary files, cookies and much more.
There is a disk cleaner program built into most operating systems under Accessories then System Tools that is helpful for cleaning up your disk space, but a registry cleaner detects and deletes many more unnecessary files.
Many registry cleaners are adware or malware and could potentially do more harm than good. I personally use AML Free Registry Cleaner for keeping my desktop running quickly and smoothly and have been very satisfied with it.
So you can find AML Registry Cleaner at this address
http://www.amltools.com/
Download the registry cleaner here.
Once the program loads, your screen should look like this. At this point you can click the cancel button, because there’s no reason to do a backup.
When that screen closes, continue on to the Disk Cleaner button. This will open another window that looks like this.
At this point, the first radio button is marked. Click the start button and let it run. Once it finishes, click Delete Selected. Click the next radio button on Recent Files and do the same. Repeat for Temporary Internet Files and Cookies.
Once this is complete, you can go back to the original screen, run a Scan Now, and then a “fix all”. When it asks if you’re sure, say yes. After that’s all done, empty your recycling bin.
There you have it! Stay tuned for more tutorial videos and be sure to subscribe to my channel! Thanks for watching!

Converting YouTube Video to MP3
Welcome to my tutorial on how to convert YouTube videos to MP3. So lets begin.
The website I downloaded my YouTube to MP3 converter is dvdvideosoft.com, and you can find it easily with a quick Google search. Dvdvideosoft also offers some great tools for converting photos and video, a screen recorder, DVD and audio burning, and much more.
So here you see the download page for the Free Studio 5 free YouTube to MP3 converter.
Once you download the program and run it your screen should look like this. You’ll want to paste a YouTube link in there to get started.
So the way we do that is by choosing the video you want to convert to MP3 audio, and for this example I used my Windows Movie Maker Tutorial.
You can highlight the url and right click to copy the address, or just use control C to copy.
Then go back to your program and click the paste button to load it in.
Once your video is ready for download, click the download button to begin.
Conversions to MP3 take a matter of seconds and once it’s completed, you can click the folder icon to open the folder of YouTube videos you’ve converted to MP3.
And here we see the file as an MP3 in the program file. That’s all there is to it!

Blacklist Comment Spam IP Addresses
Welcome to my video tutorial on how to blacklist an IP address for comment spam in wordpress.
Sometimes when you have a wordpress blog, the plugins that are designed to block comment spam don’t always filter everything.
If you get a lot of spam from a single IP address, it may be time to put that IP on your Wordpress blacklist, it’s really easy.
So I’m logged into my wordpress, I go into my comment spam and as you can see, I have a ton of spam from a single IP address
So now I highlight the IP and either use CTRL and C to copy, or just right click and choose copy from the dropdown.
Once I have that on my clipboard, navigate to Settings, and the subcategory “Discussion”
Once you’re in here, scroll down to the Comment Blacklist, where you can enter ip addresses to be blocked from commenting on your wordpress blog. Either use ctrl V or right click to paste it in.
Scroll down and save your changes. Nothing to it!
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more to come!
Target Your Audience
When writing, the importance of targeting your audience remains a valid strategy. So many business owners have a website and a blog, but rarely do any writing on them. Review these tips and advice on involving your readers in your business and reading your articles.
Your posts should be about your readers’ interests and related to your own business. Keep your readers involved with popular topics that are the buzz on social media websites and the news. Think about who is going to be reading and tailor what you write to your audience’s needs.
Make sure you stay focused on what topics your readers expect you to write about and revolve your writing around them. Keep up with what’s interesting in the news by doing searches, watching what others post about, and using Google Alerts. Google Alerts is a great way to choose what topics you want to be informed on to organize them for review and research.
